Geekbench has reportedly discovered an Asus ZenFone 8 Mini. The smartphone spotted on the platform has the ASUS I006D model number, which correlates to the ZenFone 8 Mini. According to the listing, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 16GB of RAM. Previously, a phone with the same model number was allegedly certified by TUV SUD, indicating that it supported 30W fast charging. According to reports, the ZenFone 8 Mini has the codename “SAKE,” which was first discovered in the Asus ROG Phone 5 kernel source code.
The alleged Asus ZenFone 8 Mini with model number ASUS I006D is seen running Android 11, and its motherboard name is “lahaina,” according to Geekbench. In single-core tests, the smartphone received 1,121 points, and in multi-core tests, it received 3,662 points. It’s worth noting that there are three Geekbench entries for a phone with the model number ASUS I006D, all of which score about the same in single and multi-core tests.
According to a tweet by tipster Sushanshu, smartphones with model numbers ASUS I006D and ASUS I006DA have already earned the TUV SUD certification. According to this listing, the smartphone can support 30W quick charging. It also suggests that the rumored ZenFone 8 Mini would have at least two storage options.

There’s even a reference to “SAKE PLUS.” However, it is unclear if these handsets are part of the Asus ZenFone 8 collection. However, the phone codenamed “SAKE” is referred to as a “tiny phone.” According to the leak, the Asus ZenFone 8 Mini will have a 5.92-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC.
